Potter or Ceramist?
A gifted potter can efficiently produce a remarkable amount of beautiful vessels and forms with unique precision and detail.
That is not who I am, and that is not what you’ll find here.
For me, my clay forms and vessels are the canvas for color expression and design. They may be wonky, eclectic, or called wabi-sabi, but for me they are tangible, tactile, and fertile bases for color, texture, and expression.
The fact that they are functional is the starting and ending point for me. Tableware can and should create a symphony with its cuisine, be it simple or extravagant, and tableware can be a welcoming palette for either, providing a perfect spark to its environment.
That is what I strive for, and that is what I hope you find here.
